Welcome to the myma community!

myma is professional platform for emerging and mid-career artists to introduce their work to fellow artists, curators, gallerists, collectors, brands and enthusiasts throughout the international contemporary art scene.

As a member of the community, you join a professional network committed to upholding ethical standards and creating a community culture grounded in inclusivity, respect, and the protection of intellectual property. This collective effort ensures that myma is a space where artistic expression is valued, celebrated, and supported by authentic, transparent, and respectful interactions that contribute to the growth and success of the whole community.

Who is in myma’s community?

myma is an inclusive online art community and art showcasing platform for:

  • Visual Artists from anywhere in the world and age 18+ working in any medium to showcase their work.
  • Organizations such as galleries, museums, non-profits, brands, and others seeking to discover artists and promote and manage their open calls and artistic programming.
  • Art Professionals and Enthusiasts age 18+ including critics, curators, collectors and all those passionate about art to discover and connect with artists and artworks.

Content standards & principles

We celebrate diverse artistic expression at myma. However, the myma platform is exclusively a place for showcasing and engaging with art and artistic content, and is not a place for promoting any other type of content, services or offerings. To maintain a respectful and supportive space for all, we ask all members to adhere to these content standards & principles:

Protecting Artists' intellectual property

Safeguarding artists' intellectual property is our highest priority.

Artworks uploaded to myma remain the intellectual property of the artists and should not be downloaded, reproduced or be used commercially or otherwise without explicit consent with the exception of copyright https://www.copyright.gov/fair-use/. This extends to all members and administrators on myma, including the myma organization and team.

  • Original Works Only: myma is an art showcasing platform. Unlike photo-sharing platforms like instagram, all uploaded content must be original artworks created by the member artists. Posting non-artistic content and re-sharing other artists’ work for any reason is prohibited.
  • Copyright Compliance: Using any copyrighted material, including images, texts, or other creative works, without proper permission and licensing from the copyright holder is strictly prohibited on our platform. If you are concerned about your copyright on myma, please contact us at support@myma.art and we will take swift action.


Respecting artists' rights and ownership over their creative output is foundational to fostering a community built on mutual trust, integrity, and appreciation for artistic integrity. We diligently enforce these protections.

AI-generated works

The emergence of AI in art is a complex and evolving challenge. myma does not take a stance on what tools and emerging technologies artists may use to express themselves, but we also acknowledge the significant differences between traditional art and AI-generated works, and expect full transparency and ethical usage. Labeling AI-generated art is crucial to maintain integrity within our community, as it ensures clarity about the creative process and helps distinguish between the unique qualities and origins of artworks.

  • Artworks utilizing AI must be clearly labeled as "AI-assisted."
  • No AI-generated work that infringes on intellectual property rights or is trained on data obtained through unethical scraping is allowed.
  • Obtaining artist data or automating posts/scraping through AI is prohibited.
We provide resources to the community to help navigate AI responsibly while protecting your rights.

Nudity

Unlike other platforms which censor depictions of the human body in its natural state, including nudity, myma appreciates that such portrayals are important aspects of many artist’s practice, and so we do not take action against such portrayals. However, we are implementing measures to safeguard members who might prefer not to view content with nudity in professional environments or in the presence of minors.

  • Tagging: Artworks containing clear nudity or nudity as a central element should be properly tagged with ‘Nudity’. This allows members to make informed choices about the content they view.

    • Hateful or Discriminatory Content

    myma’s community celebrates diversity and inclusion. We do not tolerate hate speech or discriminatory content of any kind, including but not limited to:

    • Racism: Racist remarks or content promoting hate based on race, ethnicity, or national origin are unacceptable.
    • Identity-Based Discrimination: Derogatory speech, slurs, or biases based on religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability status, or other characteristics - are strictly prohibited.
    • Promotion of Discrimination: Content that discriminates against individuals or groups, or encourages discriminatory attitudes and actions will be removed.


      • Our community strives to uplift all voices and perspectives. Hateful, exclusionary rhetoric goes against our core values of respect and equality for all members.

    Illegal, Exploitative, or Harassing Content

    To maintain a safe environment for all, we do not tolerate and will report to the relevant authorities any instances of:

    • Minors: the sexual exploitation of minors or any depiction of sexual imagery involving children will be immediately reported.
    • Exploitation: Sexual exploitation, labor exploitation, or violations of fundamental human rights are strictly prohibited.
    • Illegal Activities and Inciting Violence: We do not allow any illegal activities or content that promotes, glorifies, or incites acts of violence.
    • Harassment and Threats: Bullying, stalking, intimidation, or threatening behavior towards others, including making threats of harm or violence, will not be tolerated.

      • Safeguarding the wellbeing and dignity of every community member is essential. Exploitative, dangerous, or harassing conduct undermines the principles of respect and compassion we uphold.

    Authenticity

    To build a community grounded in transparency and integrity, we maintain the following standards:

  • Authentic Identities: Impersonating others or creating fake/misleading accounts and profiles is prohibited. We expect all members to represent themselves accurately.
  • Genuine Content: All user-generated content, including artworks, posts, comments, artist opportunities and any shared information must be authentic and truthful. Intentionally misleading or deceptive content undermines trust within our community and members who infringe on myma’s genuine and authentic content and information policy will be removed.

    • Open and honest interactions are vital for nurturing a supportive environment built on mutual understanding and respect. We are committed to upholding authenticity as a core value.

    Account deletion

    Violations may result in account restrictions or deletion. Please report any concerns to support@myma.art.

    Communicating and improving

    We are committed to evolving these guidelines through community input to nurture an ethical, supportive space for your creativity. We rely on members to help enforce these standards.
